Fee & Payment:
Parkland/Park 96 Members - $60.00 including GST
Non- Residents - $75.00 including GST
Forms of payment accepted: Direct Debit, Cheque, Visa or MasterCard. Make cheques payable to “Parkland Community Centre”. A service charge of 3% will be added to total for credit card payments. There will be a $25.00 + GST administration fee for NSF cheques.
Register by June 7th in order to be guaranteed receipt of the material provided for this camp, which is a basketball, t-shirt and water bottle. Registrations received after June 7th may not receive these items due to the deadline for placing the order of items and delivery timeframe.
This registration is “Not Confirmed” until signed registration form is returned and payments are received by the Park 96 Office.
This camp goes rain or shine and is intended for children ages 5 to 12 years of age. Children will be grouped according to age - experience and skill level is not an issue - all are encouraged to attend. This camp is facilitated by Trinity Baptist Church and is run by experienced adult coaches along with several qualified junior assistants.
It is hoped both the morning and afternoon sessions will fill to capacity, however, if registration is low in either one, the sessions will be combined and participants notified. No places will be held either by phone or email. Confirmation will be emailed once registration forms and payment is received by the Park 96 office.
There will be a BBQ luncheon on Thursday July 12th starting at 11:30 for all registrants in both am or pm sessions.

In association with the Calgary Safety Council, Park 96 is offering a Bike Safety course for children ages 4 to 11. Parent volunteers are required if your child is aged 4 to 6. Helmets are a must - a hockey helmet DOES NOT provide the same protection as a bicycle helmet. Helmets will be properly sized on the first day of class. Bring your own bike and training wheels are okay.

Friday Night Adult Tennis League |

May 18-September 28th, 2012 7:00 pm at Park 96 courts
Maybe you haven't picked up a racquet in a while and would like to get back to tennis or you just wish you could find someone to rally with and play a game. Then this is your dream come true. Come out to Parkland's Friday Night Tennis League and have some fun!
Kick-off night is May 18th and will run through until September 28th, weather permitting. Free to all Park 96 members, this is great way to meet other tennis enthusiasts of all levels. Non-residents are welcome accompanied by a member, however a small court fee will apply at the following rate:
Season Pass: $50 OR purchase a Book of 10 passes for $30.00. Passes may be purchased at the Park office during office hours 403-271-7516; park96@telus.net park96@telus.net> or call contacts below.
New balls are provided every Friday for each court.

Alien InLine Skating is once again bringing their skills and equipment to share with budding skaters. Helmets are mandatory; skates and pads will be provided but you are welcome to bring your own. This program takes place on the concrete skate pad and along the asphalt paths of our park. Children ages 6 and older are welcome to register.
There will be three sessions; which are:
Ages 6 - 8 10:00 am - 11:00 am (Beginner/Intermediate)
Ages 9 - 12 11:00 am - 12:00 pm (Beginner/Intermediate)
Ages 10 and up 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm (Advanced with jumps / tricks)

Yin and Yang Yoga Classes

The Yin and Yang Yoga Classes will start April 12, 2012, 2012 and finish on May 31, 2012.
Class Description: This class is designed to offer the balancing effects of yin (passive) yoga and yang (active) yoga. The first half is the yang, focusing on sun salutations and satnding postures that will increase your strength, flexibility and balance. The second half is the yin, focusing on theraputic yago movements that will enhance mobility in your joints, reduce stress, and promote whole body and mind renewal. Bring a yoga mat, water and blanket or any other props you need.
